Yoshiaki Taura is a former student at Kumamoto Daiichi High School and was a member of the Kumamoto Daiichi High Bicycle Racing Club, serving as its captain during the storyline's first year.
Appearance[]
Yoshiaki has a large, muscular body, as well as heavy lower eyelids, sharp cheekbones, a large nose, and a wide-set mouth with thick lips. His eyebrows are extremely thick and arch downward and he has dark skin, black eyes with prominent upper eyelashes, and short, black hair.
Personality[]
Yoshiaki has a loud, cheerful, and confident personality, described as a "fierce-hearted" guy. Yoshiaki seems slightly religious, as he desires to pray at a shrine before the Inter High for his team's victory. He's friendly and encouraging towards his team, but can boast about the poor state another team is suffering. He can also be intimidating towards his opponents when seeing them facing a difficulty situation, but respects them when aknowledges their strength. Yoshiaki also can trust in others easily if they demonstrate being worthy his cofidence and can be easily frustrated if they break his confidence on them.
Skills and Techniques[]
As Yoshiaki is known for participating of the races and represent his team as a regular, it is implied that he is skillful enough to be stronger among the cyclists of his team and the teams from his prefecture. However, Yoshiaki so far had not demonstrated any noteworthy cycling abilities. Yoshiaki however demonstrates having a strong resistance as a cyclist and managing to endure in long races.
