Yamabe is a former student at Kumamoto Daiichi High School and was a member of the Kumamoto Daiichi High Bicycle Racing Club, serving as one of its regular members during his third year.
Skills and Techniques[]
As Yamabe is known for participating of the races and represent his team as a regular, it is implied that he is skillful enough to be stronger among the cyclists of his team and the teams from his prefecture. However, Yamabe so far had not demonstrated any noteworthy cycling abilities.

- Along with his teammate Iwashita, his name was revealed on Yowamushi Pedal: The Movie, through pamphlets during its release. Despite becoming a recurring character in the following year, it is not yet known who is who.
