The Weekly Shonen Champion (週刊少年チャンピオン, Shūkan Shōnen Champion) is a weekly shōnen manga magazine published every Thursday in Japan by Akita Shoten. It contains many manga titles targeted at boys, including color spreads and news about the titles such as anime news and author comments.
" Little chan " The mascot of Akita Shoten.
'Little chan' Represents the image of a man with a mustache and wears a yellow and black striped hat. It is used as an overall mascot symbol for the Akita Shoten company and its goods, such as the Weekly Shonen Champion itself.
The Shonen Champion was first published in July 15, 1969[1] and currently serializes the total of 21 manga titles, one of them being the Yowamushi Pedal series.

The magazine started to be released digitally since the 2016's sixteenth issue. The Chapter 392 was released along with it and was the first chapter of the franchise to be released digitally.
