Tsugunao Kinaka is a first-year student at Sohoku High School and a member of the Sohoku High Bicycle Racing Club who joined the club during the storyline's third year.

Tsugunao has a short and straight black hair.
Personality[]
Tsugunao initially demonstrates being someone who shows off to others who begin any kind an activity that he does practice for quite some time and someone who also does not like to be look down by others. When driven by his anger, Tsugunao may get very competitive and do whatever he can in order to frustrate his target and even make bets that may impact in their desires.
It is later revealed that Tsugunao was made fun of by others for his body characteristics and for being clumsy sometimes and because of it he was never able to make any friends. He also has a problem which he inherited from his past activities that is having such a big respect for his seniors to the point of harming his activities and objectives overall, by not passing them in races when he is supposed to do easily and failing to join the teams he aimed for being afraid of passing them. Because of this problem, he also accepts everything that is said and requested by the seniors, even if they are derogatory messages about his abilities and orders that go against his ideals.
Tsugunao is also the type of person who gets shy when praised by others and admire the ones who see his qualities overall, wanting to impress them constantly of his skills. When he manages to develop a close friendship with anyone, he becomes someone supportive who does anything he is able in order to see the person succeed and tends to work together in order to make them reach their objectives. He is also someone who quickly aids his friends when they are having some hard time facing physical and psychological problems and uses his companionship to help them overcoming their problems.
Skills and Techniques[]
Tsugunao has strong and thick legs that are adept for cycling activities. He used them to practice since his middle school and acquired the experience needed to perform well in races and win. He also used them in order to create techniques which helps him to perform better in races.
One of his techniques, "Straight Road", is performed by Tsugunao when he uses the impulse from his legs to accelerate in a linear route. When doing this, Tsugunao usually screams the nickname that was given to him by others after seeing his legs size and comparing him with the australian kangaroos, "Straightroo". This technique can also be used to take the road turns linearly.
