Shiraiwa is a former student at Sohoku High School and was a member of Sohoku High Bicycle Racing Club before the main storyline events.

Shiraiwa has a spiky black hair and light brown eyes.
Personality[]
Shiraiwa likes to support and guide others based on his beliefs and can end up being very judgmental about something that is out of a pattern, such as someone's cycling style or behavior. He can also be competitive against someone who earns his respect and challenge them in order to test their strength.
Shiraiwa also tends to show off to the others about his accomplishments and can lose his concentration on the activities he is because of the huge amount of praising that gets his full attention. He also can get easily embarassed when someone mocks him or his bad results.
Skills and Techniques[]
Shiraiwa participated of Sohoku's activities and races representing the team before, having some cycling experience overall. However, he had not demonstrated any noteworthy cycling abilities.
Etymology[]
- The surname Shiraiwa means "white" (白) (shira) and "rock" (岩) (iwa).
