Shimizu is a third-year student at Kashiwa Higashi High School and a member of the Kashiwa Higashi High Bicycle Racing Club who represented the team in the Chiba's classificatory race for 41st Summer Inter High and Chiba's classificatory race for 42nd Summer Inter High.

Appearance

Shimizu has round blue eyes and appears to have a brown shaved buzz-cut hairstyle.

Personality

Shimizu demonstrates respects towards his seniors and follow their orders believing in their decisions. He also demonstrates being someone who worries easily about the conditions of the race he is participating, especially when being threatened by an enemy attack.

Skills and Techniques

Shimizu participated of Kashiwa Higashi's activities and races representing the team before, having some cycling experience overall. However, he had not demonstrated any noteworthy cycling abilities.

• His voice actor, Yūta Odagaki, also voices Takahashi, Fujiwara, Akihisa Tsuji and Kariyama.
• While he was shown riding a Corratec bicycle during the classificatory race for the 41st Inter High, during the classificatory race for the 42nd Inter High he was shown with a Giant one. This could be an animation change by the new direction given that the Spare Bike movie did show the Kashiwa Higashi riding Giant bicycles as the club's main brand.
