The Senbatsu Team or Selection Team (選抜 Team) is a team who participates from the Inter High competitions every year. As many of the high schools are not able to participate of the Inter High, due to losses in the preliminars or even after facing some casuality that impacts directly in the teams participation, some of its promising members are selected to participate of its special team.
Requirements[]
It is implied that either the schools get an invitation to participate of this special team or apply for a spot on it. It is known that the clubs who participate of this special team can earn one to two spots for their members. In case the team gets a vacant spot due to a member getting injured before the competition or being absent, the vacant spot can be occupied by one of the reserves from the Inter High's participating clubs. If the reserve of a team gets a spot in the selection team, they can not work as a seventh member of his main team and has to follow a rule of not getting close to any member of them.
Infrastructure & Goods[]
The jerseys provided to the members is known to be usually a white colored one, despite the frequently change of its design through the editions.
It is so far not known if the team members have any equipment provided to them by the Inter High staff in order to participate of the competition. As it is a team formed of different members, it is implied that they bring either the equipments from the club or their own and that the Inter High staff is responsible for their support.
Activities & Routine[]
As the members are picked from many different teams, they join the Inter High based in the practice they have got from their own clubs prior to the event. It is not known yet if beforehand the staff of the Inter High event does any kind of session for them to meet and practice and create a teamwork to be eventually used in the competition.
It is stated that this team is formed not to compete for the victory in the competition but solely to have the experience of riding in the Inter High.

- During the 41st Summer Inter High and 42nd Summer Inter High the participants of the team are seem wearing an orange jersey with black shorts, being different from the white color ones usually pointed in the manga. Despite not confirmed, it is implied that it was more likely an animation mistake.
- At some chapters the team's name was written as Senbathu in the jersey. It was lately changed to Senbatsu, the literal translation of the kanji.
