Sawada is a second-year student at Sohoku High School and a member of the Sohoku High Bicycle Racing Club who joined the club during the storyline's second year.

Sawada has a short spiky hair.
Personality[]
Sawada initially is shown as someone who is willing to do anything in order to win, even if it means to break rules. Eventually he is shown as someone who easily gets surprised by the outcome of unexpected events.
Skills and Techniques[]
It is known that Sawada participated of Sohoku's activities before and had some cycling experience in the club. However, Sawada so far had not demonstrated any noteworthy cycling abilities.
Etymology[]
- The surname Sawada means "marsh" (沢) (sawa) and "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta/da).
