Mrs. Onoda is the mother of Sakamichi Onoda. She supports her son's cycling without really knowing what it is all about.
Appearance[]
Mrs. Onoda has short, frizzy hair. Her eyes are often drawn as simple circles.
Personality[]
Mrs. Onoda is kindhearted, and she clearly cares about her son a great deal. She encourages Sakamichi to do his best and have fun even though she does not really understand what he's up to. She's just happy to see him working hard and making friends. She entrusts Sakamichi to Shingo Kinjou and Shoukichi Naruko when she meets them on the evening before the second day of the Inter High. Before the second day of the second Inter High, however, she has become somewhat forgetful. Forgetting that Sakamichi is in his second year, and that Shingo has already graduated when she saw Kimitaka Koga and Hajime Aoyagi.

- The surname Onoda means "small" (小) (o), "field, wilderness" (野) (no) and "field, rice paddy" (田) (ta/da).
