Koichi Hara is a second-year student at Sohoku High School and was a member of the Sohoku High Bicycle Racing Club who joined the club during the storyline's second year.

It was briefly stated that Koichi participated of Sohoku's activities and participated of the First-Year Welcome Race. However, Koichi was never seem riding and his skills as a cyclist are yet unknown.

- The name Koichi means "prosperous" (浩) (ko) and "one" (一) (ichi).
- Koichi's surname Hara means "field, plain" (原) (hara).
