Kawabata is a former student at Sohoku High School and was a member of the Sohoku High Bicycle Racing Club before the main storyline events.

Kawabata appearance is mostly unknown except for his body being heavily built and imposing and his hair shape being spiky.
Personality[]
Kawabata demonstrates being aggressive with any act of direspect towards someone or some place that requires the minimal of preservation from its users. If he finds out about this kind of action, he reacts negatively to any of it to the point of wanting to go after the culprit and punish them severely.
Skills and Techniques[]
It is known that Kawabata participated of Sohoku's activities before and had some cycling experience in the club. However, Kawabata was never seem riding and his skills as a cyclist are yet unknown.
Etymology[]
- The surname Kawabata means "riverside, riverbank" (川端).

- Kawabata first design in the anime had a more curly hair and a more built body. In the Spare Bike movie adaptation it was considerable changed.
