During his second year at Hakone Academy Bicycle Racing Club, Haraguchi witness with the other members Yuto Shinkai who stopped by to check the club. For being the younger brother of Hayato Shinkai, one of the strongest in the previous year and who was admired by everyone for his reputation and achievements in the club, everyone was pushy towards him and made Yuto uncomfortable. Haraguchi then attempted to take a picture of him with his cellphone, but Yuto got angry and asked him to stop, while slapping his hand and making his phone fall and break. Haraguchi was shocked, as well as the other members who did saw what happened. Lately, Yuto apologized with Haraguchi for breaking his cellphone and gave him a new one.
